‘Stitches in Time’ is a collaborative project between the National
Museum of Ireland – Decorative Art and History and Limerick School of
Art and Design – Limerick Institute of Technology (LSAD-LIT). On display
are 12 garments designed and made by second year students of the BA (Hons) in
Fashion Design at LSAD-LIT, inspired by uniforms and other artefacts on display
in the Soldiers & Chiefs exhibition at Collins Barracks.
The work
is currently on display until the end
of October. It will then be exhibited in
the Hunt Museum, Limerick in November as
part of Design Week and Limerick City
of Culture.
