Danielle Romeril Featured in ELLE UK

LSAD  Fashion  Graduate  Danielle  Romeril  is  featured  in  an  article  in  Elle  UK  featuring  new talent  making waves  in  the  London  fashion  scene. She  is  part  of  the  Centre  for  Fashion Enterprise,  a pioneering  fashion  incubator  based  London. 
Danielle  showed  her  pieces  from  her  Autumn Winter  collection  at  the  LSAD  Graduate  show in  May  and  was  a  member  of  the  judging panel. She  has  also  taken  part  in  our  visiting lecturer  programme.

Tailoring The Treasury - Opening at the Hunt Museum

2nd  Year  fashion  students  held  the  opening  of  their  exhibition  Tailoring  the  Treasury at  the  Hunt  Museum  yesterday. A  great  crowd  turned  out  for  the  wine  reception  where Dr. Hugh Maguire, Director  of  the  Museum,  spoke  highly  of  the  students  work.

The  exhibition  is  on  until  Friday  the  22nd  May.

LSAD Graduate Fashion Show 2015 - Press Coverage

In  the  run  up  the  the  LSAD Graduate  Fashion  Show, the  Limerick  Post, Limerick  Chronicle  and  Limerick  Leader  have  published  articles  featuring  the  students  involved. Student  awards  this  year  are  as  follows; 

The AIB/IFIL  Work placement bursary worth €5000 .This includes a 3 month full time work placement with NEWGEN London based designer and LSAD graduate Danielle Romeril .
 
The LIT Award €2,500  for the collection which shows unique cut and technical creativity  within a collection.
 
The ECCO Award €2,000 for the most innovative use of fabric in a collection.

LSAD Graduate Fashion Show 2015 - Pre Show Editorial in Fusion Magazine

A  huge  thank  you  to  the  team  at  Fusion  Magazine  for  producing a  fantastic  shoot  of  4th  year  work  taken  from  the  upcoming  graduate  collections.  The  LSAD  Graduate  Fashion  Show  will  be  taking  place  on  Thursday  21st  May  the  The  Church  Gallery  LSAD, Clare  Street.

Vodafone DIT Student Design Competition 2015

3rd  Year  Fashion  Students  Mollie  Sinnott  and  Stephen Mclaughlin  were   selected  to  participate  in  the  Vodafone  DIT  Student  Design  Competition  2015  where  Mollie   was  awarded  2nd  place  overall.

'In The Fold' Exhibition comes to Kildare Village Outlet


Kildare Village in association with ID2015 are delighted to present ‘In the Fold’; an exclusive exhibition which will showcase the work of the most exciting and emerging young Irish fashion design talent, from Wednesday 22 April.
Kildare Village has partnered with Irish Design 2015, to present the installation which explores how young Irish graduates use fashion as a creative response to their environment; revealing how cultural identity is formed and refined by what is around us

Visiting Lecturer - Richard Malone


Exciting  and  innovative  designer  Richard  Malone  recently  spent  the  day  in  the  Fashion  Department  at  LSAD. He  delivered  an  informative  presentation  outlining  his  time  at  Central  Saint  Martins  where  he  won  numerous  awards  such  as  the  LVMH  Grand  Prix  Scolarship, and  the  Deutsche  Bank  award  which  he  recieved  for  his graduate  collection. He  believes  strongly  in  using  sustainable  materials  and  methods  in  his  work.
He  also  spent  a  year  working  for  Louis  Vuitton  in  Paris. His  work  was  also  featured  in  the  London  Fashion Week  exhibition ' In  the  Fold'.

Graduates  Laura  Kinsella  and  Michael  Stewart  are  selected  to  feature  in  London  Fashion  Week  Exhibition, 'In  the  Fold'. The  annual  exhibition, now  in  its  fourth  year, showcases  emerging  designers  from  over  30  countries  in  the  largest  public  fashion  exhibition  of  its  kind.

Michaela Kennedy wins Student Designer of the Year at Irish Fashion Innovation Awards

4th  Year  LSAD  Fashion  Student  Michaela  Kennedy  wins  major  fashion  award. Michaela's  piece  was  inspired  by  the  work  of  sculptor  Do Ho Suh. Her Degree  Collection  will  be  part  of  the  upcoming  LSAD Graduate Fashion Show  which  will  be  taking  place  in  LSAD  on  21st  May.

LSAD Fashion Graduate Colette Ashe launches knitwear label

Colette Ashe  launches  luxury  knitwear  label  Coletti  which  uses  the  Shima Seiki  computerised  knitting  system. Fashion and  Knitwear  students  recieve  training  on  this  system  at  LSAD.

Congratulations  to  LSAD  Fashion  Graduates  Michael  Stewart and  Colin  Horgan who  have  recently  secured  places  on  the  Royal College  of  Art  MA  Programme  in  Womenswear.
